We were commissioned to bring to life the ambitious and vibrant ideas of the Greater Cambridge Planning team at Cambridge County Council. A huge new development, the project aims to create 20,000 new homes and 8,000 new jobs, reimagining North East Cambridge.

Working with design agency Silk Pearce, we created 12 videos for the launch of the council’s ‘Area Action Plan’. We created a fully animated world depicting the council’s vision for the future, supported by short interviews with councillors, architects and urban designers to answer the public’s key questions.

An extensive bespoke character set was developed to populate the scene, including everyone from children to pensioners and ducks to dalmations!

The vibrant street designs are focused on reclaiming the area for pedestrians and cyclists, creating an eco-friendly environment that brings more nature into the urban setting. We emphasised this through the sound design, championing the reduction in noise pollution and the beauty of the wildlife.
