FOOL’S ERRANDS is an art project that brings together innovative techniques to imagine scenes that are only possible in a digital space.
The process – from hand-painting in virtual reality with Quill VR, to outputting looping GIFs – retains the craft of stop-motion and a handmade charm.
The artworks are playfully unnerving and subtly cryptic, whilst also capturing a mischievous sense of humour inspired by pranks played on new starters, interns and apprentices. Each practical joke is unique to a job and industry: from tradesmen to chefs, and from tech to shipping, relevant as individual pieces or collectibles.
A surreal transmedia anthology, the various Fool’s Errands are released as GIFs, crypto art, virtual reality experiences and even flip-books. Available to collect, view and share.
