WELCOME TO THE METABALL
TREVOR SORBIE + L’ORÉAL PROFESSIONNEL PARIS
For the 2024 L’Oréal Colour Trophy we were tasked with creating the headline show – ‘Metaball’ by Trevor Sorbie’s Creative Director Giuseppe Stelitano.
The headline concept was to create a fashion show that felt like a party in the metaverse. A high-energy disco with iconic silhouettes, fluid motion design and digital innovation.
We created visuals for a 15-minute live show, to act as a backdrop for the models and dancers on stage.
The main screen was an LED wall 9984 pixels wide, whilst there was also a ‘drum’ hovering above the stage. This cylindrical projection acted as a halo above the performance, appearing to spin like a zoetrope.
Performed at Old Billingsgate to an audience of renowned hair and fashion artists and influencers, the show was a roaring success, platforming the best in the business and creating huge ripples online for L’Oréal Professionnel Paris.
